Okay, so I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA Speedmaster 38mm watch for a while now. You know, the one with the smaller case size that everyone’s talking about. I mean, the classic Moonwatch is cool and all, but it’s a bit chunky for my wrist. 42mm? Come on, that’s a dinner plate!
So I started digging around to see if I could snag one of these 38mm beauties online. I really love the design! The 42mm is just a little too big for me. I’m not trying to make a statement, I just want a nice watch. You know what I mean?
- First, I just started browsing all the usual spots. You know, the big-name online retailers. Looked at those a lot. I wanted to see what the general price range was and what styles were out there. They have gold and steel models, and even some with diamonds on the bezel. Fancy!
- Then I started looking at some dedicated watch forums and online shops. Trying to see what kind of deals I could find. A lot of people were talking about “official retailers,” so I figured I should check those out too.
- So I hunted down a few of these “official retailers” online. Checked out their websites, browsed through their Speedmaster selections. It was pretty easy to filter by case size, so I could just see the 38mm ones. I like to see all the options before I make a decision.
- I compared prices, checked out the different models, and read a bunch of product descriptions. Some sites had better pictures than others, so that was helpful. I spent a whole afternoon doing that!
- After I found some candidate watches, then I started looking into the return policies of the online stores.
Making the Decision
After a few days of hemming and hawing, I finally pulled the trigger. Found a model I liked, steel case, simple bezel, on a site that had decent reviews. They promised free delivery and some kind of “free luxury gift” with the purchase. I’m a sucker for free stuff, not gonna lie. Placed the order, entered my shipping address, and paid with my credit card. Simple!
