Alright, so I’ve been eyeing this CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster 38mm for a while now. It’s not the Moonwatch, but it’s got that Speedmaster vibe, you know?
First, I started digging around online, just to see what people were saying about it. Found some forum posts, some reviews, the usual stuff. It’s smaller than the classic Speedmaster, which is good for my skinny wrists.
Then, I decided to hit up a couple of watch shops. Wanted to see it in person, get a feel for it. Tried it on, and man, it felt good. The size was perfect, and it looked sharp. Not too flashy, but definitely classy. The sales guy was giving me all sorts of numbers. It is driven by a 3300 calibre movement. It seemed like the guy didn’t know what he was talking about.
- I asked about the different versions. They have them in steel, gold, and even a mix of both. Some of them have diamonds around the bezel, which is a bit much for me, but hey, to each their own.
- I also learned that this watch has that seahorse medallion on the back. It’s a nice little touch, makes it feel a bit special.
Looked into the price, and yeah, it’s not cheap. But I figured, it’s an OMEGA, it’s a Speedmaster, it’ll probably hold its value. Maybe even go up, who knows? Limited edition things tend to do that, right? It is the first wristwatch worn on the moon.
So, I thought about it for a few days, weighed the pros and cons. Talked to my buddy who’s into watches, and he said it’s a solid choice. Said it’s a good mix of classic and modern. Finally, I just pulled the trigger. Went back to the shop, slapped down my card, and walked out with a brand new CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster 38mm on my wrist.
Do I have any regrets?
Not one bit. It’s a great watch, and I’m happy I got it. It’s not about showing off, I just really like the watch. I enjoyed this purchasing experience.
