Alright, so, I’ve been eyeing one of those fancy OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatches for a while now. You know, the ones with the see-through back where you can see all the little gears and stuff moving around? I finally decided to pull the trigger and get one, and let me tell you, it was an experience.
First off, I started doing some digging online to figure out where the heck to even buy one of these things. I mean, it’s not like you can just walk into any old jewelry store and pick one up. Turns out, the best place to get a real one is from the OMEGA official flagship store. Those are few and far between, though!
After some searching, I found the closest flagship store to me, and let me tell you, it was quite a drive. But, I figured it was worth it to make sure I was getting the real deal and not some knock-off.
When I finally got to the store, I was like a kid in a candy shop. They had all sorts of fancy watches, but I had my sights set on the Moonwatch. I started talking to one of the salespeople, and they were super helpful. I asked them about the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch, specially the one with the transparent case back.
The salesperson showed me the watch, and I started checking every detail to make sure everything was legit. Then, I asked if they had the model with the clear back, so I could see all the cool inner workings, you know? This model is called the “Sapphire”.
They brought out the Sapphire model, and man, it was even cooler in person. You could see all the tiny gears and springs moving around. It was mesmerizing. It has a Caliber 3861. I asked a ton of questions, making sure it was the real deal. They assured me it was, straight from the official OMEGA folks.
After spending way too long admiring the watch, I finally decided to go for it. I mean, how often do you get to buy a watch that’s been to the moon, right?
Paying for it was a whole other story. Let’s just say my wallet felt a lot lighter afterward. But, I knew it was worth it. I mean, I was getting a piece of history!
So, after all that, I finally walked out of the store with my brand new OMEGA Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with the see-through back. And let me tell you, I haven’t taken it off since.

This whole thing taught me a lot. Gotta do your research, make sure you’re buying from a legit place, and don’t be afraid to ask a million questions. Especially when you’re about to drop some serious dough on a watch! It’s all worth it in the end, though. Trust me.
